Here are the events where I'll be vending for the month of May. If you're in Chicago or the Chicago land area, please stop by. And if you're not here but know someone who is please let them know about these events. And if you're not in the area you can always stop by my etsy shop at jazjewelz.etsy.com. And please note that these events are devoted to natural hair but all are welcome to attend. They'll be plenty of vendors with great products for sale.

Chicago Natural Beauty/Mother Daughter Meetup

Note: Natural hair discussion will be from 11am-12pm. Vending will commence immediately after discussion. If you're not interested in discussion you can arrive at 12pm. Also please bring gently used hair products that you no longer want for the swap table.

BGLH Spring Naturals Chicago Meetup 2011

I vended at the BGLH Spring Naturals Meetup this pass weekend and it was fab. There were so many beautiful ladies with wonderful natural hair. And lots of  awesome vendors selling everything from jewelry and hair products to t-shirts and buttons. I've vended at BGLH meetups several times before and it's always a good time. And I'm usually so busy selling my jewelry and talking that I really don't get a chance to take photos or make twitter and facebook updates. Luckily, there are plenty of others who do take pics and make videos like the one below. And I must mention that that video was made by OneMeNaturally who has a really cute Etsy shop with great button earrings. Check out her shop and enjoy the video. Oh, and I'm not in this vid-I just wanted to give you all a glimpse of the event. Enjoy!

Save Rumble Arts Center!!!

The Rumble Arts Center ( located in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood) is facing possible takeover by Cash America which wants to put a pawn shop in Rumble Arts' place. Please sign THIS PETITION to help prevent the closing of this center. There will also be a few town hall meetings where supporters of Rumble can express their opposition to Cash America. HERE is a little more information about the meetings. Please support anyway you can!

Shecky's Girls Night Out in Chicago!

This post comes a little late but  Shecky's Girls Night Out  is tonight and tomorrow night
( April 6th and 7th) here in Chicago. This event will take place at The Great Hall at Chicago Union Station from 5pm-10pm. Tickets are all sold out for tonight's event but you can still get tickets for tomorrow. I'll be there tomorrow so if any of  you plan to go please let me know - I'd love to meet ya!
